NUMBER OF PLAYERS:  2 to 8 players  MATERIALS:  150 Game Cards, 1 Game Notepad, and an Instruction Manual TYPE OF GAME:  Strategic Card Game AUDIENCE:  8+ OVERVIEW OF SKYJO Skyjo is a strategic card game that requires you to have the lowest points in your hand, even without knowing exactly which cards you have. With all your cards hidden, attempt to trade cards to ensure you have the lowest scoring hand you could before the game is over. The first player to reach one hundred points loses the game, and without close watch, it can sneak up on you quicker than you think! SETUP To begin setup of the game, shuffle all the cards in the deck. Deal 12 cards to each player, which are placed facing down in front of them. This game is awesome for laughs and over dramatized gameplay. Attempt to gather as many matching cards as you can before the round ends, unless a battle ensues. With each battle, a player must obtain a Burrito Bruise! Will you be bruised by a burrito, or will you be doing the bruising? See who is faster with their hands while burritos fly!   3-PLAYER TROEVEN OBJECT OF 3-PLAYER TROEVEN:  The object of 3-Player Troeven is to be the first team to reach a score of 0 to win. NUMBER OF PLAYERS:  3 players MATERIALS:  A modified 52-card deck, a way to keep score, and a flat surface. TYPE OF GAME:  Trick-Taking Card Game AUDIENCE:  Adult OVERVIEW OF 3-PLAYER TROEVEN 3-Player Troeven is a trick-taking card game meant for 3 players. The goal of 3-Player Troeven is to decrease your score to 0 first. You do this by winning rounds. To win a round your team must score more points than your opponents. There are two possible versions of this game that I will go over below. Version one uses a dummy player, and the second version uses a smaller deck. SETUP The first dealer is chosen at random and passes clockwise for each new round. To modify a 52-card deck all cards 6 and lower are removed from the game.   OCEAN’S ELEVEN OBJECTIVE OF OCEAN’S ELEVEN:  The first player to win six poker hands wins the game NUMBER OF PLAYERS:  2 players NUMBER OF CARDS:  104 cards RANK OF CARDS:  (low) Ace – King, Ace (high) TYPE OF GAME:  Poker AUDIENCE:  Adults INTRODUCTION OF OCEAN’S ELEVEN Ocean’s Eleven is a poker style created by Eliott Adkins.  A game for two, each player is trying to build the best poker hand possible and force the other to concede.  During the game, players will flip cards from their own decks, compare their current hands, and the player with the lowest ranking hand will decide whether to concede or draw.  Don’t draw too many times because the player that runs out of cards automatically loses the game.   PADAN OBJECTIVE OF PADAN:  The first player to earn 100 points or more wins NUMBER OF PLAYERS:  2 players NUMBER OF CARDS:  52 cards RANK OF CARDS:  (low) 3 – Ace (high) TYPE OF GAME:  Trick taking AUDIENCE:  Adults INTRODUCTION OF PADAN Padan is a trick taking card game for two players submitted to Pagat’s invented card game list by Dan Vetter.  The rules described below are for a slightly revised version of the game.   In Padan, players will draft four separate hands of cards.  They will either keep the hand that they draw, or they will give it to their opponent and follow with another draw.  After viewing each hand one time, players will have to choose which one they play with.  The first player to earn 100 points wins the game.   PERICO OBJECTIVE OF PERICO:  The first player to 5 points wins the game NUMBER OF PLAYERS:  2 – 6 players NUMBER OF CARDS:  54 cards RANK OF CARDS:  (low) Ace – King, Ace (high) TYPE OF GAME:  Rummy AUDIENCE:  Adults   INTRODUCTION OF PERICO Perico is a card game for 2 – 6 players created by Steven Metzger.  Much like in Thirty One, players will take turns drawing and discarding while trying to build the best hand possible.  In Perico, however, players are trying to build the best poker hand.  Once a player is happy with their hand, they can knock to signal the end of the round.  Each player gets one more turn, and the hands are shown.  The player with the highest ranking poker hand wins the round.  The first player to win five rounds wins the game.  There are some rule variations that can be found  here .   ROYAL VISIT OBJECTIVE OF ROYAL VISIT:  Have the King in your chateau or the entire Court in your Duchy to win the game NUMBER OF PLAYERS:  2 players CONTENTS:  Playing Board, Playing Cards, Character Pieces, Crown Token TYPE OF GAME:  Strategy game   AUDIENCE:  Kids, Adults INTRODUCTION OF ROYAL VISIT Royal Visit was designed by Dr. Reiner Knizia and published by IELLO in 2020.  In this game, players are working to get the King to visit their Chateau rather than their opponent’s.  This is done by playing cards, using the Wizard and Jester’s special powers, and thinking carefully about when to move which pieces.  The first player to get the King to their Chateau, or to have the King in their Duchy at the end of the game is the winner.
